Mama bought us a little pot of catnip. I've only had the dried kind, which I love, but the fresh stuff has a wonderful minty scent.
It's pretty powerful stuff. Just one or two leaves do the trick.
Yep, I got a little carried away.
This made for a very fun Saturday morning!
Yippee for fresh nip!!
ReplyDeleteOh Lucy, how cool!
ReplyDeleteYou know...mommy here also tried some "magic mint"but I think it doesn't work well because I didn't like :(
Better try this nip next time!
Have a great week sweetie,
purrs
Luna and mommy Léia
Lucy, how lucky you are! We've never had fresh catnip. Our human keeps an eye out for it, but so far hasn't seen any. We can see what a great time you had with yours on Saturday! :-)
ReplyDeleteA little green makes everyone happy!
ReplyDeleteGlad to see you again!
I is so glad us dogs isn't into nip coz if'n we woz, I would never get fresh. Mom has such a black thumb. I do grab a bite of greens on our hikes on occasion but mom tells me LEAVE IT if'n she catches me. I dunno why. (No, no hiking yesterday coz of the rains. Bummer.)
ReplyDeleteOh, Lucy! You really got into it!
ReplyDeleteLOL....now there is a good thing that you can't get *too* much of.;) And when did Simba get his 'nip' time in? You did share a little didn't you?
ReplyDeleteHi Lucy!
ReplyDeleteWow you really LOVE that nip!
Mom bought Molly and Lilly a catnip mouse this weekend, I sniffed it and it made me sneeze!
Have fun, just don't drive - hehe!
Luv, Lucy (Woof!)
I hope you didn't have a catnip hangover Lucy!
ReplyDeleteLucy, you are a dead ringer of my cat. Humans sometimes drink too much and make fools of themselves so I guess it's okay if cats make fools of themselves over cat nip. We've got to buy cat food today. I think I'll buy some fresh cat nip. My cat is old. There's nothing like watching an old fool.
ReplyDeleteKeep it down Lucy....you are getting a little wild there....you have to learn to hold your catnip....I'm just sayin'....
ReplyDeleteHi, Lucy, we read about you over on Peanut's blog and had to come meet you.....we can see why Peanut thinks you are the cat's meow...you are a very lovely girl.
ReplyDeleteHi Lucy
ReplyDeleteI have never seen catnip before
here in the store they have only cat grass.
I wish I could taste it !!!!
You can bring me one plant ;)
Hugs Kareltje =^.^=
I wonder if nip to you is like squeaky toys are to me? I get a little carried away with those... *snickers*
ReplyDeleteLucy it looks like you really enjoyed that fresh catnip. Mama said she will have to get some for us is she can find it. Did you have a hangover the next morning? We hopes not.

Nothing better than a little nip to start the day. Great photos :)
ReplyDeleteIt looks as though you were having a fine time with the nip!!
ReplyDeleteLucy, is there anything left of that nip plant today?? The way you're enjoying it there, we bet not!!
ReplyDeleteThat nip looks like some seriously fun stuff. "The Boys" only get it in a toy...hmmm, may have to reconsider.
ReplyDeleteLucy, you are loving it! So fulfilling you are ready for a nap.
ReplyDeleteTwylah does not like it. So we never bought again.
We can see how much you're enjoying the real stuff. What a purrfect Sunday morning gift!
ReplyDeleteHi Lucy! The catnip looks like so much fun. We need to get that for Kovu. Did you know that Kovu went on an "adventure" for 4 nights? I sure wish I knew where he went, but he is home safe and sound!
ReplyDeleteSay hi to "the Beans"!
Fresh nip is good but the nip-hangover can be bad!
ReplyDeleteLucy it looks like you had FUN this weekend! :)
Woo-hoo! Looks like you had a wonderful time with your gift! I like fresh green grass on occasion when I am outside, settles my tummy. We dogs don't have anything like your "nip", darn it.
