7 Reasons Why I is Pawsome

I was tagged by the cutest doggie, Shawnee at The Shenanigans of Shawnee the Shep, to play "7 Reasons Why You is Pawsome." By the way, you should check out Shawnee’s blog. She has lots of fun hiking adventures and her mom helps animals get adopted.

7 Reasons Why I is Pawsome

Teddy bears like me.

I don’t beat up Simba (just little bites from time to time).

I sleep snug as a bug in a rug.

I put up with indignities graciously.

I can be seen sometimes in the bedroom window from outside, but you have to look really hard because I'm stealthy.

I am very clean and take my baths seriously.

I’m a sweet torbie girl.
I’m tagging my fellow blogger, my newest pal, Kovu, at The Kingdom of Kovu.

Oops I Ate It Award and Marshmallows

I want to thank my friends, Lucy, an adorable goldendoodle, and her mom, Sunny, at Life with Lucy for this fun award. Part of this award is that I have to tell you a story about something I ate that was not a part of my regular diet.

About six years ago, Mama had her nephews, Nick and Noah, over. They were about four and five years old. Mama doesn’t have any human kids, so she didn’t have any toys for them. She decided to make some playdough (after looking up the recipe on the Internet). She, Nick and Noah put the playdough in an empty ice tray and then made little faces with the playdough with toothpicks, raisins and marshmallows. Mama thought those faces were so sweet that she put them on top of the entertainment center.

Later on that night she went to look at the faces again. She noticed that all the faces were missing marshmallows. As she pondered that, she saw me jump up to inspect the faces. She figured out that I took and ate all the marshmallows. That’s how we both discovered that I love marshmallows. Unfortunately, it’s a very rare treat. Oh, they are soooo good!
Me eat marshmallows?? I'm tough chick!

Looking at Texas

When we first arrived in Texas over two years ago from California, we had to stay in a motel. While we waited for the movers to come with our furniture so we could move into our new apartment, Simba and I liked to look out the window at our new state.

Now we’re in Pennsylvania, but that’s another post.

Distrustful Ratsie

“Ratsie, I got some grief for biting you the other day. I know you don’t trust me, but this time I really want to be friends. This time I promise I won‘t bite you.”
“That’s it. Come a little closer.”

“Wait! That was just a little bite!”
“I wonder why Ratsie doesn’t trust me?”

Quiet Time on the Patio

I love mornings. Every morning, my favorite thing to do is go out on our patio. I insist on going out even before eating breakfast. I wait quietly and patiently in the mornings for Mama to get out of bed and open the patio door. I love to watch the birdies and feel the fresh air.

Yesterday, my brother, Simba, went out on the patio with me. Our daddy kept taking our pictures, interfering with our quiet time.

"No, Daddy. No more pictures today!"

Lucy's Surprise

"Oh for Pete's sake, what does Mama want?"
"Lucy, don't be crabby. You have lots of new friends and visitors to your blog. I think you were a hit."
"Oh, I'm so happy I could kiss a ratsy!"
"Didn't you say kiss?" "Kiss, bite, it's all the same, Mama."
Thank you visiting my brand new blog. I'm so happy to have new friends. I love visiting your blogs too!

I hopes everyone is havin' a good weekend!

Welcome to Lucy's Cat Lounge

My name is Lucy. I’m 13 years old and live with my mama and dad in Pennsylvania . They adopted me when I was kitten from a shelter. I am brand new to blogging, but Mama and I have been reading lots of other cat blogs and I finally got her to agree to let me have my own.

I don’t go outside. My days mainly consist of lazing in the sun on our patio, napping, playing with my ratsie and getting lots of pets from mama.

Every evening I wait patiently for Mama to finish whatever she’s doing—cleaning up after dinner, working, whatever—and come play with me. Sometimes she takes so long I fall asleep waiting. When she finally comes in the room, we play with my ratsy or Cat Dancer or the plastic milk jug caps. I’m an older gal so I just like to bat at the toys, or bite them or rub my face on them. Then I get bored and take a bath.

Happy Friday, everyone!
