Sunshine and a Fly

Hello, friends! I'm glowing in the California sun.

The other day, the lady saw me stalking something in her closet. The big guy wasn't home, and she was anxiously awaiting his return so he could dispose of whatever it was (she deliberately didn't put on her glasses because she didn't want a closer look). When the big guy got home, it was gone. The next morning, she found it dead on the carpet. "It" was a fly. Good enough to kill but not to eat and certainly nothing to get squeamish about. When it comes to bugs and spiders, she always assumes the worst. Panic first is her motto. That's my motto too when it comes to unwanted houseguests.

  1. LOL at your last statement, Annie. Derry's too!

As for the fly...yeah, the boys will kill them (maybe) and not eat them. My Annie was a great fly-killer, the boys don't match her at all on that. (They excel at moths, though.)

Tell your mom that I was on the bus going home after work two days ago, looked down (was reading something on my phone) and saw a spider on me. Tried not to freak out in a public place, but I did say a couple of bad words and shook it off, spent the rest of the LONG ride home worried about where it ended up! :-O

    1. Yikes! There's a good chance the lady would have embarrassed herself and changed seats!

  5. My human isn't bug averse, which is a good thing because I corner whatever I hunt - and then, I expect her to catch it for me! The latest one was a millipede. For some reason, she didn't seem to want to help.

  6. I'm surprised Pierrot wasn't all over that! Sometimes a woman's just got to take care of things!

  9. I like it when I spot a fly, spider, roach, silverfish or ? crawling around this place. Mom cringes, dad kills and/or flushes, I pat myself on the back for a job well done.

  11. You look so pretty enjoying a relaxing day in the California sun. You did a wonderful job on getting that fly. That unwanted houseguest didn't have a chance with you around. Thanks for the share. Have a great weekend.

  12. Annie we just alert Mom to bugs (normally roaches -- you can't live in Florida without some big bug walking into your house!) but we don't do a thing with them. Nope that's her job. WE love love love the photo!!!

  13. You look so contented and warm in this sun puddle, Annie Bear dear!
Our human, too, do not like bugs especially cockroaches and will go all out to rid them at whatever time of the day.
