Simba


Our sweet Simba lost his battle with CRF (chronic renal failure) yesterday evening at the age of 17.

He was diagnosed in 2010 and has been doing fine up until the last few months.  Giving him fluids was a life saver. Not only did they extend his life but they also made him much more comfortable. However, his kidneys finally stopped being able to filter out the toxins. He was down to under five pounds and had mouth ulcers.

We are obviously very sad. For me, this is also bringing back the sadness of losing Lucy anew.

 Simba was my husband's best friend. He was such a special kitty. To think, he came from a cat collector's house in Reno, NV to us. We were so lucky to have him all these years.

    Oh, we had no idea! We stopped by with Father's Day wishes. We knew poor Simba wasn't in the best of health. We hope your fond memories of him will eventually help you to feel better.     It is so hard to lose those you love, I am so sorry to hear this. I still remember back when you first got him. The struggles.... you are wonderful, loving people, I am so glad he came into your life giving him a chance to feel the warmth and love you gave him. He is now the brightest star in the sky shinning his love down on you every night to show how much he loves you. Lucy has one of her buddies joining her, she is purring... happy to greet Simba.     Oh NO! I am so sorry! You really did a lot for him through out the years. Now he leaves you with many loving memories in return. I still remember when you first brought him in.     2013 will remain as a sad one in our memories!I'm so sad to read that Simba also left you. I can't imagine what you're going through, after Lucy..I'm sure they're now both in cats paradise. They stopped suffering. They remember all the love you and J. gave to them.
