Double Trouble

Double-Decker of Orange (Simba and Annie):
I woke Simba up to get this picture. That's why he looks a little out of it.

Lucy is continuing to do well. She goes back to see her doctor on Friday. She is still having litter box problems where she goes frequently and just small amounts. Sometimes there isn't anything at all. Other times she hangs out right next to the box or even curls up inside. If anyone has any thoughts on that, I'd appreciate it. It could be that she has some kind of contusions or bruising on her bladder that still need to heal.

Happy Thursday!

  1. Poor Lucy. Continued purrs for her. Presumably it's not a UTI on top of everything else (i.e. we assume that's been checked, we mean).

No suggestions, just lots of healing universal Light.

  3. No solution ,sorry! but I'm happy to read that things are going a little better for Lucy. ANd I like the idea of the "orange Doubledecker", that's funny!
    I wish you all a nice week-end!

  4. After Cosmo was released after being treated for blockage, the vet gave him some valium along with some other meds to help with his recovery. The valium was supposed to help his bladder muscle relax and make it easier for him to pee. Maybe you could ask the vet this Friday about it?
We're sending Lucy lots of purrs. :)

  5. It;s nice to see Simba and Annie!! And we're glad Lucy continues to heal. We don't have any suggestions about the peeing situation. We hope all goes well at the v-e-t on Friday.

  6. urinary issues can develop when the kitty is stressed. it wouldn't hurt to have the vet test the urine the next time you are in to make sure there isn't an infection / crystals.

if her bladder is inflamed then some herbs might help. Cornsilk and marshmallow root are both very good at helping sooth inflammation and help the mucus membrane of the bladder.. You can find them both at most health food or supplement stores. http://holisticat.com/flutd.html

  7. I have been so away from posting I had no idea that Lucy had taken a fall. I am so glad that she survived. I can't even imagine how terrifying it must have been.

I hope she continues to heal. I guess this is what is meant by cats having nine lives. Bless her heart, I hope the root of the bladder problems will be discovered so vet will know how to fix it.

Hugs and purrs for Lucy from all of us.

  8. could it just be that once she gets to the litter she decides to wait there
it's all so exhausting for her
I know Isadora went through that right after she had dental surgery

I love how wonderful Annie looks
and Simba is adorable with his confused expression
if I woke Siren up I'd be in trouble :)

  11. We hope Lucy feels better soon. Keeping her tummy warm might help her, but I'm sure the nice Vet lady can give all the suggestions based on the cause! We'll be praying for her quick recovery!

  13. We're sorry we haven't been around much, but we are still purring for our little Lucy. We hope its going better for her. Maybe she has a bladder infection? It sounds like it could be one since she tries to go and not much comes out. So long as she's not blocked (but that usually happens in males, we had one who blocked up a couple times). If its a blockage, its really serious and needs to be taken care of right away, maybe just talk to the vet? We are purring for her.

  16. Thanks for visiting! We were wondering how Lucy was doing. We are purring she is ok now. We understand that No-Kitty Zone! One of our neighbors had a cat fall out of their window, so open window sills are another No Kitty Zone at our place too. Our mom puts low tables for us to use in front of windows. If we don't talk to you before the holidays, have a wonderful time and a great New Year! Purrs and kisses to our little (?) Annie.
