A Perfect Day

We had a wonderful Christmas.  It snowed in north Texas!  Simba enjoyed watching the snow fall.

Annie dressed up for the snow. No, we couldn't even pretend. Annie has never seen snow before and she, true to form, was scared of it. Mama tried to reassure her but she spent a good part of Christmas in her office.

I stayed in my bed all day with my heating pad on.

Mama cooked all day and all four of us (Papa too) loved her turkey!  We (just the kitties) also had a lot of fun with some silvervine powder that our dearest friends at The Furries of Whisppy sent us.  We also received some treats from Jim and Chestnut, our two sweet French kitty friends from Nice, France. We get to try them today. I can't wait! Merci beaucoup, mes amis!

I'm doing well. Hopefully, I'll get my cast off soon. I took it off myself a couple weeks ago. I stayed up all night working at it and Mama woke up in the morning to see my cast in the corner of the bedroom. Unfortunately, I was in a lot of pain and couldn't walk at all so I had to go back and get a new one. I've been having tummy problems (poop, not pee), but I'm on some new medicine and, paws crossed, that seems to be clearing up.

I'm looking foward to making the rounds and visiting you, my friends.

  1. All that talk of turkey has made us hungry! Can you hear our tummies rumbling?
We're glad you had fun with the silvervine. :)
We aren't sure how we'll react if it snowed here (which is NEVER).
Glad to know your tummeh troubles are clearing up, Lucy. Hopefully you'll get the cast off before the New Year. We like how you have such a happy little red heart smiling at you all day. :)

  3. It sounds like you had a great Christmas, Lucy. We're getting some snow today...a little late for a white Christmas, but that's okay.

We are so happy you're doing better. The mom put a heating pad for us on our chair and we love it!

  4. We're glad you all had a good Christmas. Annie is smart, to avoid the snow. We're waiting for a huge storm, coming up from the States. Bleh. Snowbound tomorrow!

Wishing you a wonderful rest-of-the-holiday, and all the very best in 2013.

P.S. Someone was home next door this AM (truck in driveway, heard stomping around early in the AM), but I've not heard the kids. Maybe they are staying with grandma in TO for the week. It's too much to hope....LOL.

  10. Bonjour dear friends!
So wonderful to be here visiting your place and thanks for these adorable pictures!
We moved from Luxembourg to Belgium, and now that things are settled at our new place mammy will prepare new posts to my blog. Mom and Dad will keep publishing posts from their travels in Bonjour et Bon Voyage.
Here they don't speak French because we moved to the Province of Antwerp, Flanders. So...I guess I will need to learn how to "meow"in Dutch! :)
    Happy Holidays!
