Hi! Do you wonder why I'm wearing a harness? Well, there is a lot going on at our place. After a year of much thinking and praying, the lady and big guy have decided that we need to move back to California to be near family, specifically their aging parents. Our house has been up for sale and we accepted an offer on Friday.
We had 30 showings of our house. The lady had bought us harnesses thinking that when people come over to look at our house, the two of us would go with them in the car and wait. Well, that was very stressful to all concerned. We stayed in the house when people came over and the lady and big guy waited in the car (like stalkers). This worked out much better.
As a side note, I find the harness very comforting. I don't want to go anywhere, but I enjoy wearing it at home. Pierrot does not like it at all.
We now have just a little over a month to find a place to live, pack, hire movers, and many other things. We'll need to take a break from blogging until we're settled in California. We think we'll be moving around mid to late May.
We'll miss you but may still be able to visit a bit from time to time. Otherwise, we hope to be back at the end of May.
Wow, big changes! Aging parents is a huge issue, though, so we understand. We wish you all the very best of luck with the entire process and will be sending you purrs and universal Light. Lots of hugs and kitty kisses. Be well, be safe...and we'll look forward to seeing you online again!
ReplyDeleteOh my Ceiling Cat, what an adventure coming your way! Sometimes this kind of thing is unavoidable - we hope and pray that all goes well with the many decisions that will need to be made in the very near future. PS: we did this ourselves in December of 2016 - from NC to FL. If you want, we can share some of the ways we got ourselves safely from there to here. The single biggest thing was using a medium dog crate for both of us kittehs.

California is nice state, I would like to go back there one day. I dream about going to Yosemite National Park - I wasn't able to go there last time I travelled to the USA.
