My Visit to Tabby's Place Continued

Last Saturday, I visited Tabby's Place, a cage-free sanctuary for cats rescued from hopeless situations. If you missed my first post and are interested, click here to see it. I would like to emphasize that at Tabby's Place the kitties are very well cared for and loved. The volunteers and staff are very nice. No kitty is turned away, whether due to age, illness, or handicap. I'm sorry that I don't know everyone's name.

There are several patios where the kitties can safely enjoy the lovely view and fresh air. This is Carrot.

The day was rainy and cool so there weren't many cats on the patios.

The kitties can come and go as they please during the day using enclosed overhead walkways. These ramps go up to little doors at the top to go back inside.

This is Valencia.

This is Anka. He's paraplegic and is from Istanbul, Turkey. He was in a cage because he gets overwhelmed by other cats. They're working with him on that.

Operations:

There is also a quarantine room where kitties that first arrive stay for a while. They have a hospital, hospice, and an area for FIV+ cats.

This is Steven (I think).

This is a video of him being silly.

I decided to pose with this cute gray kitty. I think his name is Greyson. He was very friendly, which may or may not have to do with all the turkey treats I was holding.

This is Olive. Her back legs are paralyzed. She's so cute the way she scoots around on her bum.

This is a very small glimpse of their memorial garden.

I look forward to returning!
