Have you heard of this book? It's called "Dewey: The Small-Town Library Cat Who Touched the World." It's about a kitten who was shoved into the after-hours book-return slot at the public library in Spencer, Iowa on a very cold winter night in 1988. He was found the next morning by Myron, the author and library director. Dewy won her heart and the hearts of the library staff by limping on frostbitten paws to give each of them a gesture of thanks and love. The book tells of the impact the cat had on the library and its patrons, and on Myron herself. It's a heartwarming story, and we would like to send it to someone. If you're interested, please let us know in your comment. If there are multiple requests, we will randomly select one person. Also, it's fine if you're outside of the US.
We hope you're having some fun this weekend!
We've seen the book, won't enter the "draw" for it. Looks good though!
ReplyDeleteThe mom has been spending the day shoveling snow, snow, and more snow. What fun! (Not.)
Have a great evening and Sunday!
I've read this book and it is a good one.
ReplyDeleteI have the book but haven't read it yet. I have to climb over many boxes to get to my books bcause of storing everythin in the living room while tearing up our kitchen. I heard the book is really good.
ReplyDeleteWe miss you posting but we sure understand. We aren't on as much as we used to be. When there's babysitting there's not a minute to be on the computer.
Purrs and snuggles to Lucy and Simba.
