We are doing the Friendly Fill-Ins:
1. Annie: My favorite store is PetSmart or any place that sells food and treats. I send my personal shopper, aka the lady, to do my shopping.
2. The
lady: An unanswered prayer I am thankful for is not getting a job for which I was praying. It was during a scary time at my company when they were doing a huge layoff. It was a blessing for many reasons that I didn't get the job for which I interviewed and another big blessing that I was able to keep my existing job.
3. The lady: At Halloween I buy lots of candy to hand out to trick-or-treaters, and it seems no matter where we live, we never get trick-or-treaters. I'm always prepared, though.
4. Annie: I don't believe in the supernatural because I'm a sensible kitty.
Thank you for participating in the fill-ins, great answers. We never have trick or treaters, but we always have candy ready. I am glad your unanswered prayer worked out so well. Thanks for your answers too Annie. Snowball sends her love to Pierrot. XO
ReplyDeleteI always love seeing that you've done the fill-ins. Your answers are wonderful! My kitties agree with you 100% on #1, Annie. We always get at least a few trick-or-treaters, which makes me happy, as that makes Halloween extra fun. Happy Friday to all of you!

I have to agree that Pet Smart is a great place! I can easily get lured into cat treats and toys and all kinds of wonderful things for my furkids!
ReplyDeleteI know that panicked feeling when a job situation is unstable. I am glad it all worked out ok for you in the end.
I have had that happen on Halloween and it was so sad. We don't get any trick-or-treaters where we live now. We used to get a bunch at the office building where I worked and I always brought plenty of candy.
Annie, I bet you know supernatural things you just don't tell the Lady about! ;-)

ReplyDeleteWe never have trick-or-treaters, no matter how ready we are for them. So, we just stopped preparing for them. We buy the candy for ourselves and our kids and don't worry about waiting to pounce, because no one is going to show up anyway. The neighborhood just over from ours gets tons of trick-or-treaters. No emergency vehicle could get down those roads in an emergency on Halloween night, that's for sure.

Annie, does your mom believe in the supernatural? Inquiring minds want to know. Our mom did not fill-in #2. It seems most of those who did had a job, a move or a boyfriend that they are happy didn't pan out. XOCK, Lily Olivia, Mauricio, Misty May, Giulietta, Fiona, Astrid, Lisbeth and Calista Jo

ReplyDelete1. My favorite store is the pet food store. All my needs are met there from buddies, fuds and treats to toys.
2. Mom says: If the question was what unanswered prayer are you grateful for...well, none.
Because I know that when I pray, the best thing for me will be the answer.
3. Mom: At Halloween, the porch light os off and no candy in the house for two reasons, both good ones. For 25 years I worked a 12 hour rotating shift midnights and days, and many times I wasn't here for that event. So I stopped welcoming anyone as I was not here.
4. Mom: I don't believe in magic, supernatural things or in assuming I know all the right answers.
