1. A recurring dream I have is for more homeless animals to get loving forever homes. Since I can't really remember my sleeping dreams as of late, I went with this. It's so sad going into PetSmart this time of year and seeing all the kittens and young cats. However, there's always a need for good homes for animals of all ages and types.
2. Turn lemons into lemonade. It's corny I know, but looking for the silver lining or counting my blessings and being thankful really does change my mindset when things are tough or sad or worrisome.
3. Home repairs are driving me crazy! We've been in our place just three years and have had to replace just about every single thing-- even our balcony! The latest is our washer. We'll be at the laundromat this weekend.
4. Lately, I have been a little homesick. Actually, I've been missing my parents and feeling nostalgic for bygone days.
Thank you for these great answers. The number of homeless pets is so depressing, at least in the shelter they are safe as opposed to the strays and ferals. Poor Snowball was in the shelter for 2 years before I adopted her. I agree that turning lemons to lemonade is a great saying.
ReplyDeleteSorry about the washer :( Good luck at the laundromat, I went the other day to wash 2 comforters that are too big for my machine and it took my money and wouldn't start :( I called the owners and they are going to reimburse my $4, but it was inconvenient and I still have dirty comforters. Have a nice weekend!XO

ReplyDeleteHello sweet Annie! Mom says she is having more and more vibrant dreams -- she normally doesn't recall her nightly dreams, but she thinks it because of all the turmoil she is going through.
ReplyDeleteWe enjoyed your answers! I think lemons smell funny!
ReplyDeleteWe LOVE that black and white picture of you in the sun, Lucy! We believe in looking for silver linings as well. People get so caught up in the present - that they miss the new beginnings :)
ReplyDeleteI have to stay away from pet shops when they have pet adoption days. If I was rich and had lots of room I would have lots and lots of cats and dogs. Since I am not rich and have a small apartment I am happy to have two cats.
ReplyDeleteThose are great responses. We 'specially like the turning lemons into lemonade. The mom says that a lot. That's a nice picture of you, Annie...we like the black and white.
ReplyDeleteWe mailed your package of goodies yesterday (sorry for not getting it out sooner!). You should receive it real soon.
#2... I really need to practice that one! With you on the home repairs. I have been homesick too, so we went home for a few day and just returned last night. I don't have any family anymore but I love going to all the places that I miss and they comfort me. Happy Saturday!
ReplyDeleteHi sweet girl. SO good to see you on Sunny Sunday. xxx
ReplyDeleteThe number of homeless cats really worries us, too. We second the dream of the day when every kitty who wants one has a warm bed and a family to love them.
ReplyDeleteÉ triste saber que os abrigos estão cheios de gatinhos aguardando adoção.
ReplyDeleteCafunés para Annie e Pierrot!
Oh, no. I remember when we moved here, it was the same: everything had to be replaced. I hope this passes quickly for you!
ReplyDeleteLots of lemonade in the linky today! But, it works and is a great answer!
I hope the nostalgia passes, too. HUGS.
I know that feeling of nostalgia. I think we all are likely to have that happen and it's sometimes a bit difficult to just lay that memory aside and visit it again another day.
ReplyDeleteIt's really sad, that a lot of animals are homeless. I would like to see the world, where no animal is homeless. They all deserve for loving human, comfortable pillow and a lot of healthy food. I know, that ot's almost impossible, but I really love all these people, who help animals. I know, that we can't help to all of them, but maybe some part of them will have better life :)
ReplyDeleteI also like "Lemonade" more :)
And what's wrong with all this stuff at your home? Almost 2 years ago we were renting a flat, some things were broken, but not a lot. Now we're moved to another flat (also it's not our own) and we had only 1 incident with broken tap. And we really use everything in 100% power...
Do you have a guarantee? Maybe it's possible to change it without spending a lot of money?
