They sweetly also sent me some other things. I got a sweet card that they all signed but you may need to bigify to see. Apparently, I wasn't being very cooperative in this photo shoot, but I say it's the lady's poor photography skills that are to blame. I got a fun toy with feathers that jingles and some yummy Party Mix treats! I am so happy! Thank you so much Twinkletoe gang! I love you guys!
I've been meowing several times during the night to the point where the lady puts me out of the bedroom. She says I'm causing her much loss of sleep. I used to always be quiet during the night but the big guy thinks that I've come into my own now that there aren't any other kitties here. The lady is all bummed because she wants me to sleep with her, but I mainly sleep in the other room and just come into the bedroom to meow. She says she wants to bond with me. Well, bonding over treats and play time works for me. If you have any suggestions for her, she would love to hear (tell her to feed me more treats!).
Oh, yes, more treats and purr-haps a little playmate to keep you occupied?
ReplyDeleteIf you go into the bedroom it should only be to cuddle. Great gift, by the way.
ReplyDeletetreats and cuddles and play time will do it,xx Speedy
ReplyDeleteP.S.congrats on the swag too!xx Speedy
DeleteIt just takes time. When Boo first came to live here in 2004 she was very aloof. I so wanted to bond with her. She didn't want to. So that is where I went in search of a lap kitty and in 2005 Abby came to live with me and she took over. Now that Abby is gone, Boo has developed more of a bond with me, she sleeps next to me every night now. Watches me it's a change. I hope it doesn't take nearly 10 years for Annie Bear, and it probably won't but sometimes it just takes time and some patience and she will bond with you.
ReplyDeleteSuper gift, how sweet of them!
ReplyDeleteWell, we're of the mind that you can't change anyone's purrsonality to suit your own wants/needs. We think you're probably bonding with your human mom just fine, Annie Bear--in your *own* way. :-)
Oh, treats will certainly help with bonding! :) And lots of playtime too.
ReplyDeleteThat's so cool of the Twinkletoe Kitties to send you those cool stuff. Sounds like your Lady is getting a little stressed from your mewing...maybe you need to share one of your calming collar with her? :p
Maybe a basket for you in the room, very near your mum's bed?So you'd be together without disturbing each other?
ReplyDeleteCongrats for your package, and enjoy!
Miss Annie, tell your Mom to get you to play VIGOROUSLY (until you pant) for ten minutes shortly before bedtime, and then give you (hurrah!) a small snack. That should trigger the Stalk, Kill, and Sleep response to put you in la-la land for a good while. You may have to work with your Mom for a week or two before she learns to develop the habit--humans are so slow, sometimes!
ReplyDeleteNone of us were snugglers from the get-go, but now that we're older (5 and up) we enjoy a cuddle. Except Scouty, of course!
Some good advice, Annie Bear! I reckon you want a playmate!! And plenty of treats of course!! MOL
ReplyDeleteWell now, that calming collar might help, but I second the motion on playtime. Our Dad plays with us every single night, big time play, and then we hunt, hunt for treats, just like the big cats do. We settle down at lights out and sleep through the night.
ReplyDeleteHi Annie. Like others have said, maybe if the lady plays with you before bedtime, you'll be all tired out and will want to sleep with her instead of meowing. Enjoy your treats...those Party Mix ones are really tasty!
ReplyDeletePsst, Annie Bear, we're on your side. MORE TREATs for Annie, sweet human mom! Purrs!
ReplyDeleteAwwwwww definitely!! More treats, more cuddles, more scritches and more treats! And lots of bird TV!!! And more treats! Yay! Enjoy your special package from special friends! Take care

Hi Annie! We weren't around this weekend, so we didn't see this post. Thanks for emailing us! We think that collar looks fab on you. Purrhaps you will bond with your mom in time, look how long MMM has taken. We don't know what to say about the night meowing. Our mom either calls us for scritches or yells to be quiet, well, at least she yells when Oui Oui starts that night box scratching. We are glad you liked your package!
