Our Christmas Gifts

Annie has some dear friends in Hawaii. They have been her friends since she first came to live with us. Because I love Annie so much, it means a lot to me when others care for her.

They sent Annie and Pierrot an Amazon gift certificate for Christmas. How kind!  I had fun shopping for them, getting them each an item I know they'd choose for themselves.

Pierrot, who loves cardboard scratchers, has been in need of a new one for quite some time. He uses these to the point where there's practically nothing left. He is a happy boy!

Although Annie would probably get herself treats, since we have some in the cupboard, I got her what I think she'd choose next: a rainbow Yeowww! catnip toy. The shape is perfect for bunny kicking, holding, and even tossing. The catnip is wonderfully strong. She was wiggling around in happiness so much that it was hard to get a non-blurry picture, so we did a video.

Thank you so much for bringing joy to all of us!

Thankful Thursday

Thirty-one years and one day ago, the lady and big guy had their first date (they've been married for over 30 years).  I overhead the big guy say to the lady yesterday, "If it weren't for that date, California girl Annie and Philly boy Pierrot wouldn't be living together."

We're joining our friends at Brian's Home, host of the Thankful Thursday Blog Hop.

Orange Bun in the Oven

Hi! I'm waving hello from our new warming bed. The lady and big guy got us this bed right before they left for their trip. It's insulated and has a big pillow inside. The top creates more warmth and can be removed, but we love it. It's been very cold here this week!

New Year's Eve

We're all very happy. The lady and big guy have returned from their trip visiting family. They left San Diego, CA Friday where it was in the high 60s and low 70s and came to Philadelphia where it was 20 degrees (Fahrenheit). Yesterday it was snowing all day. Big difference from California! (The below picture is a bit of a cheat. It was taken shortly before we left. It was sunny and cold, but not this cold.)

What are your plans for New Year's Eve? We'll be tucked in at home, safe and sound. I know that's not different from any other night but it's still pretty great.

We'll be back tomorrow to wish everyone a happy New Year.
