Celebrating and Friendly Fill-Ins

The lady says this photo is special because my eyes are open, a true rarity nowadays. 

 

We are doing the Friendly Fill-Ins:

1. Annie: One quirk I have is pacing around the house over and over again when hungry.

2. The lady: My favorite comic strips are Peanuts, Mutts, Get Fuzzy, Calvin and Hobbes and Kit 'N' Carlyle.

3. Annie: I am really happy when lying in the sunny window and getting a tummy rub or rolling around in the bed when it’s unmade.

The lady is really happy in the evenings, reading a good mystery in her easy chair with me next to her.

4. Annie: If I could go anywhere on a road trip, I would go to NOWHERE. I want to stay home!

The lady would like to take a road trip to Quebec City, Canada.

Sunday Selfies

Hi! It's the dog days of summer, but I like to think it's the cat days. After all, sunshine and warm sun puddles are our specialties. I'm just hanging out, so the lady helped me with my selfie.

Pierrot, being the busy kitty he is, couldn't be bothered to take his selfie.

Healthy as a Hog

I went to the vet on Saturday for my annual exam. I'm in healthy, tip-top shape. This makes the lady very happy. What makes her very unhappy is that I gained close to a pound since my last exam. On the flip side, I get a daily glucosamine treat prescribed by the vet.

In other news, Pierrot had fun with our new birthday cake toy.

My 10th Birthday

I turned 10 on July 4! The lady says that’s a milestone birthday. I’ve been living with her and the big guy for almost five years. Pierrot has been with us for two years and he had a fun celebration last month but also celebrated again with me on my birthday.

It was a wonderful day. It started with a yummier than usual breakfast. I then got a relaxing massage (well, it was a brushing but I usually just get combed and being brushed is even better). The lady played with us for a long time with a new toy. In the evening, Pierrot got to spend a long time on the balcony with the lady and big guy. We also got treats and dollops of whipped cream.

Happy 4th of July! We are thankful for our wonderful country and appreciate all those who serve and have served to protect it.

For those in the U. S., we hope you have a quiet and safe holiday. We heard lots of booms last night. What are your plans for the day?
