Keeping Watch

I was keeping watch all day yesterday. I was waiting for our Chewy delivery. I overheard the lady say to the big guy that she ordered treats.

Pierrot saw fit to not budge from his perch except for a quick meow.

Cat World Domination Day

Today is Cat World Domination Day, hosted by Summer! How do I dominate? When the bed is stripped on laundry day, I take it over. The lady can't make the bed until I'm done, which is usually at the end of the day or evening.

Please be sure to visit Summer's blog for fun and a really great prize giveaway!

I'd love to hear how you dominate!

Take Your Cat to Work Day?

I found out from my pal, Cody, that yesterday was Take Your Cat to Work Day. I suppose that occurs here daily since the lady works from home, and Pierrot and I typically spend the day nearby. However, we proudly state that we do not work, and we don't help her with her work. Since our move, I spend each day right here, next to the open window. We have our windows open daily to enjoy fresh breezes. It's wonderful! The lady works facing me and we're just about two feet away from each other.

When the lady went to take Pierrot's picture, she couldn't find him. He spends his days in the cat perch, but all the lady found this time was a big hairball. She washed it up, and while it was drying, Pierrot spent the day on the dining room chairs under the table.

Update on Us

Hi! I’m enjoying a snippet of sunshine. I’ve been in my new home just a little over a week, and I’m a happy camper. Pierrot’s been here just a little under a week. The lady was so worried about our reunion because we had been away from each other for over a month (Pierrot was flown out first and stayed with the lady’s parents). Our reunion was noneventful much to the lady’s relief and astonishment. We received several comments in our last post asking why I had to be boarded and not Pierrot. Well, I have a back problem that causes me to have bathroom problems. I also have a lot of fears. The lady’s parents aren’t cat people and she just couldn’t risk any accidents at their house and she also was concerned for my wellbeing and anxiety. Because of this, Pierrot came to California first. For her parents not being cat people, they really surprised her by falling in love with Pierrot. He could do no wrong in their eyes. She was so worried that he would climb their furniture, get into all their many knick-knacks, jump on the fridge, and meow in the night. They expressed their delight in him and dismissed all her concerns. The marveled how he jumped up on furniture and never knocked over any of the figurines. They laughed when they saw white hairs on their black stove. When the lady told Pierrot to get out of the cupboard, her dad said, “Oh, let him stay. He likes it in there.” They loved to talk about what he did that day and what he ate. They talked about how much they would miss him. The lady felt guilty when it was time to pick him up last weekend. I was willing to make a sacrifice and let Pierrot stay there, but nobody listened to me.

We're Home

Hello! We have finally completed our move. It's been long and a bit rough at times, but we are happy to be together again in our new apartment. Here I am being boarded at the cat-only vet. I had to be there for two weeks.
Sorry about the litter box, but at least it's clean
I think I like shag rug

Pierrot was very comfortable while staying at the lady's parents' house.

At dinnertime, he liked to lie on the floor next to their table.

Here I am enjoying our new home. All's well that ends well.
