New Year's Eve

We're all very happy. The lady and big guy have returned from their trip visiting family. They left San Diego, CA Friday where it was in the high 60s and low 70s and came to Philadelphia where it was 20 degrees (Fahrenheit). Yesterday it was snowing all day. Big difference from California! (The below picture is a bit of a cheat. It was taken shortly before we left. It was sunny and cold, but not this cold.)

What are your plans for New Year's Eve? We'll be tucked in at home, safe and sound. I know that's not different from any other night but it's still pretty great.

We'll be back tomorrow to wish everyone a happy New Year.

  1. Happy New Year! We will mostly be hiding from the fireworks. They are very beloved in our neighborhood, but not by us.

  2. Hi Annie and Pierrot! We're way behind in visiting your blog and we're catching up today. It's so cold here! We're lucky and we didn't get much snow yesterday, but it's frigid. Stay warm!Happy New Year from our house to yours.

  6. Happy New Year! It's great your humans are home safe and sound, in spite of the winter weather. (Minus 34C windchill here this AM, which has been par for the course since Christmas.)

Enjoy your cosy night in, we'll be doing the same!

  8. You must be really happy that your people are home. We don't do anything special for New Year's Eve, just watch some t.v. and maybe stay up late enough to watch the midnight stuff. We're usually up until 11:30-ish, so midnight isn't too much of a stretch for us. Hopefully there won't be too many loud noises in the neighborhood.

  9. We wanted to ask how Annie's back was these days?

    1. Thank you for asking. After three different vets, it seems it's her back and not really her back legs that is the problem. Certain positions are difficult for her to hold (like posturing for the bathroom). An x-ray revealed that she possibly has a herniated disc or some kind of injury to her back. She was on a round of prednisone that helped and we're considering doing another round at the lowest dose possible. She gets around pretty well and doesn't seem to be in constant pain.

    2. Prednisone can work wonders, that's certain.
