Friendly Fill-Ins

It's Friendly Fill-Ins time! As our lovely hosts put it, this is all about learning about each other and making friends. Speaking of our lovely hosts, they are 15andmeowing and McGuffy's Reader.
Sorry about the big guy's shoes. This is my favorite spot in front of the window. I hang out here most of the day. This makes the lady happy because her work station is just a few feet away.

1. My next day off will be Monday! I'm looking forward to a four-day weekend!

2. Fireworks are worrisome. I worry about animals and houses. The big fireworks shows are fine. We used to go every year, but we don't go very often anymore.

3. This week, I am thankful that we purchased a new washer (ours broke two weeks ago) and that we are able to purchase a new one.

4. Freedom is a precious gift and blessing.

  1. What wonderful answers! Hooray for 4-day weekends! I had the option of having Monday off, but I offered to go in to work for just a bit to accept some deliveries we're expecting. Fireworks make me a bit nervous as well, but I do enjoy the occasional show that is in a safe location and that I know is being organized by professionals. And you are so right about freedom. Purrs, and Happy 4th of July! (P.S. You're as cute as ever, Annie!)

  2. You are such a cutie, that looks like a nice spot. Great fill-in answers, thanks for participating. Did you get a front loader or top loader on the washer? Have a great long weekend! XO

  3. Eu também gosto de ter meus gatos por perto, que bom que o lugar favorito de Annie é perto de onde você está a maior parte do tempo.

  6. I wouldn't have even noticed the shoes if you hadn't mentioned them, Annie! Your beauty shines and everything else just fades into the background :)

  7. We don't go to the fireworks shows anymore either. There is a volunteer fire department around here that still does them, I think. Too crowded to go.

  8. We can't worry about fireworks, we'll be too busy hiding!

  9. Great fill in responses. We are fond of fireworks. We like the ones that are professionally done, but not the ones that the average person shoots off. They don't know what they are doing!

  11. Great fill-ins. My humans will be home for a 4-day weekend too, then Dad will work from home so I won't be alone for 5 days!

  12. You have the sweetest face, Annie. Glad you have a four day weekend. I really don't like fireworks but last night our neighbor did a small display and we watched them from the porch and enjoyed them. They were not too loud, did not go on forever, and they were colorful! We don't have a cat right now so I didn't have to worry about a kitty in the house being afraid.

  13. I am glad that you were able to get a new washer. After our last one died, I hand-washed our clothes for probably a year, maybe longer, and that was no fun at all! I don't mind hanging them to dry, but hand-washing in the tub was making my back hurt something fierce. I love my replacement washer. :)

I worry about folks starting fires with the fireworks, too. They are beautiful but very dangerous in the wrong hands.

Have a blessed week and a great 4th!

  14. Thanks for stopping by. I hope you're having a great long weekend. Have fun but stay safe!

Super news that you were able to get a washer! I have an old one that I want to keep going as long as possible, because I've been told by a couple of repair guys that it's the last of well-made ones (17 years old now). Nothing I buy today will last nearly that long, sadly. Did you get an extended warranty? LOL. I will do that for sure, when I have to replace mine.

Take care; give Annie and Pierrot scritches from me. N & D send purrs!

  16. I apologize for may lateness in responding. Although I read posts last week, with Chloe Jo in the hospital, it has been difficult. As I write this, she is back in the hospital for observation and tests. Thanks for understanding.
Great answers, as always. We think very much alike. Hugs.
