No Good Birds

I'm sitting here thinking about birds, $#$#*!* birds. The Lady and the Big Guy bought some bird seed to put on our patio for me to have some bird TV. Well, I saw all those little birds pecking at the seed and making lots of tweeting noises. I did what any crazy kitty would do. I charged them. The problem was the sliding glass door was closed. That hurt, but now I'm mad. I was so close to sinking my teeth in those tender morsels and then spitting out their feathers.  I'll get them next time. I know I will.

A note about our oldie man, Simba: He had to go to the vet Tuesday, late afternoon. As most of you probably know, he has CRF (chronic renal failure). It turns out his potassium was dangerously low and he needs to be on IV fluids again. He was there for a week in February too. Hopefully, he'll come home today.

  1. OK Annie, I has to woof some advice to you from one dog to a kitteh - nomming birds do be terribly overrated. Those fevvers, they get stuck in your teefs, and on your snooter, then they come out in your, well, ummm, litter box. Now don't get me wrong, I has nefur deaded a bird but when a bird be alreddy deaded, well, what dog can pass up that window of oppawtoonity?

Annie, sorry, but our human laughed over your miss with the birds! You need to persuade your humans to leave the door open. Heh heh.

  11. Annie, we totally know what you mean about those no good birdies. They are SO lucky that we're inside cats because if we ever get out...they are goners!

  12. A good bird is a caught bird! See, they even caused you to run into the window. We are sorry to hear about Simba & will be purring for him. Our kitty who came before, Lumpy, needed subcutaneous fluids and he HATED it. We hope Simba won't need them for long and will be home and feeling better soon.
