A Beautiful Pink Quilt

It's no secret that pink is my favorite color.  Pink is also the color of breast cancer awareness.  Kathy at Katney's Kaboodle sent us a beautiful pink quilt.

It came in this box.
I love to rub my itchy chin on it.
We want to show you some pictures of the quilt so you can see how beautiful it is and how talented Kathy is.  There is more detail to it than you can see in the picture. She stiched in the names of loved ones who have had breast cancer as well as this quote: "Cancer is a word, not a sentence."
This is the reverse side.
It looks like it was made for me, but Mama insists that it was not.
We hope to have the pleasure to sponsor Kathy again on the next 3-day breast cancer walk.

  9. A lovely piece of work done with much love and care, the reason why I think Lucy is claiming the quilt as hers.

  10. HI Lucy. I am so glad you like the quilt. I do remind you, though, that it WAS your Mom's name that was drawn from all the folks who supported me in last year's walk, so you had better share!

This morning I registered to walk again in the Susan G. Komen 3-Day for the Cure. This year I will walk in San Diego, near where I grew up, and where my Mom and sister battled their cancer. They lost their fight, but more and more can survive if we continue the research.

If you want to help again, my donation page is up and ready.

  14. The quilt is so pretty. Lucy I think you look very pretty and comfy on the pink quilt. Tell your mom you will share the quilt with her.

Peanut sends you kisses and purrs, Marshmellow sends his pawshake, the dogs? they send their hello's but if they knew you were a cat they would probably run and hide.
    Mama sends hugs to all.

  15. What a beautiful quilt! I can see why you would claim it as yours. You do look simply smashing on it. However, you probably should share a corner of it with your mom, just to be nice.

(pee ess. our mom wants to tell your mom that me and Wally don't always get along like it appears sometimes...we have our fair share of spats, but we always seem to put them aside...)
