New Year's Eve

We're really not ones for New Year's resolutions in our house.  My life is perfect, so I don't need them.  Mama, on the other hand, doesn't make resolutions but she hopes to stick to her Bible reading in 2010.

Actually, I wouldn't mind some resolutions to get more treats and sunshine, but really, life is good.

Have you made any New Year's resolutions?  Also, what are you doing for the holiday?  I think we are going to spend it quietly at home.  There are fireworks in our town, but I'm kind of hoping Mama stays home with me.  Whatever you do or plan, I wish all of you, my friends that I'm so fortunate to have made, a safe and blessed 2010!

More of Mama's Money Wasted

Do you see this toy? Mama got it for us last month in hopes that we would have a toy we would play with without her having to always sit on the floor and try to get us to play.  When you turn it on, the wand waves that ball around back and forth.  Bucky liked it for about five minutes.  Neither Simba nor I ever liked it.  As I get older, I mainly enjoy a sparkle ball or ratsie and only for a few minutes.  I used to play like the dickens though.

One of my main hobbies is bathing.  I love to groom myself.  I tend to over groom when I'm waiting on food or frustrated.

I also love to eat and sit in the sun. Fancy Feast Turkey and Giblets is my favorite food, but I don't get it all the time. The sun's warmth probably won't be back until at least spring.

Oh, I really love to sleep.

Back to Work for Some of Us

Hi. Well, it's back to work this week for Mama. She's hoping with most people still on holiday, it will be slow and quiet.  At least she works from home so I can keep an eye on her.

I'll be takin' it easy today.  It's going to rain and snow, but I'll be cozy and warm inside.

I just need to get her to stop flashing the camera at me.

It Was a Great Day

I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas yesterday.  We did.  Mama made a big turkey dinner just for the five of us.  (We don't have any family in Pennsylvania.) It was so good!

Then we got some catnip presents.

It was a wonderful day!

What kinds of presents and food did you all have?

Sweets for the Sweet

Mama made Christmas cookies.  I love sweets, but I'm not allowed to have any.  I enjoyed sniffing them (and getting in a little lick).  Other sweet things I like are marshmallows, vanilla yogurt, vanilla ice cream and whipped cream.  What kinds of goodies do you like?

JC at Lilacs & Cats is requesting that we post about Beau Beau and Noni Noni, two kitties that have been at the PetSmart in Renton, WA for four months. We are hoping they get a forever home this Christmas. Please check out her blog.

My First Snow

Hi there. This picture was taken Saturday morning. I know the picture isn’t very good, but Mama put me in the window sill so I could see my first real snowfall. The little car in front is our car. By the afternoon there was a lot more snow. On Sunday the beans had to brush all the snow off the car and shovel it so they could go on errands. I think I heard Mama muttering something about why they ever moved from California and Texas. She’s never had to shovel snow before.

Saturday afternnon something horrible happened. Papa decided that he had to take our pictures in the snow. They put us out on the balcony! I hated it!

She put that darned Christmas ruffle on me thinking that Papa would take my Christmas picture out there.

Bucky!  Let us in!!

What's the big deal about a little snow?

p.s. After the horror show was over, Mama raced me to the electric blanket where I stayed for the rest of the day.

Mystery Part 2

Remember the strange thing that came into my life yesterday when I was asleep?  Well, I heard "Merry Christmas" when it appeared, so I figured that it's not so bad afterall.  Maybe it's some sort of Christmas present.

It could be a chin rest...

...or a Christmas hat.

Whatever it is, I love it because I think my mama gave it to me.

A Bit of a Mystery

Hello Dear Fiends,

I would like to share a strange thing that happened to me.  I was fast asleep when I awoke to the sound of MERRY CHRISTMAS!  That's when I discovered this strange red and white thing on me.

I naturally thought it was food, but I quickly discovered that it wasn't.  Yuck!

I now started to get mad.  "Mama!  What is this thing?"

Mama didn't answer, and I was beginning to hate this strange thing.

Study of a Girl & Her Bed

Oh, how I love my bed, especially with the flannel sheets on it!

Toesie Tuesday

I really want some catnip for Christmas, but Mama doesn't know where to get it.  She used to have a really good source, but that was years ago.  Do any of you know a web site that sells really good catnip toys?

Also, thanks for your concern about me hiding under the bed.  Just to let you know, I always go under the bed if the doorbell rings or anyone besides Mama or Papa comes in the house.  As soon as the stranger leaves, I come back out. I like what Katie calls her pet sitter: the smelly stranger.  Hee hee.

I'm Back!!

Hi Friends!

I missed you all so much.  Mama and Papa are back from their trip, which means I'm back to blogging!  We so appreciated all your well-wishes on our farewell post a few weeks ago.  They had a great trip, but they missed us.  I have to admit that I missed them too.

While they were gone, we had a pet sitter come in to feed us and change our litter.  I stayed under the bed every time she came.  She even snapped of a photo of me (the light is a flashlight).

I can't believe it's just two weeks until Christmas!  I can't wait!  I'm looking forward to presents and turkey!

xxoo
